3 Ways To Get Glam Now

Kalah Siegel | September 19, 2017 | Feature Features

These three San Diego newcomers are raising the beauty bar just in time for fall.
Bluemercury's vibrant shelves offer NARS, La Mer and more.

Cafe Gratitude is giving health-minded ladies and gents yet another reason to show appreciation thanks to its newfound friendship with The Detox Market. The duo is rolling out its Beauty Corner collaboration—a shop-in-shop located inside the Little Italy resto boasting curated beauty and wellness goodies that coincide with Cafe Gratitude’s good-for-you mission. Think Odacité elixirs, sexy finds from The Beauty Chef—including its buzz-worthy collagen booster—and cleansing detoxes that foster a glow from the inside out.

Bluemercury is cornering the La Jolla market with a dazzling new shop. As one of the most successful luxe beauty boutiques in the nation, Bluemercury is armed with brands like La Mer, Laura Mercier and Yves Saint Laurent. Co-founder Marla Beck’s lines M-61 and vegan Lune+Aster Cosmetics also dot the shelves, proving the company’s makeup prowess comes from the top.

Katherine Cosmetics is calling Flower Hill Promenade home. Founder Katherine “Annie” Finch’s debut flagship store is both hot hangout (complete with a selfie station) and one-stop beauty shop featuring her animal testing- and gluten-free products. The Rancho Santa Fe resident even taps her philanthropic friends via her A+ Friends Lipstick Collection, in which each shade represents one of her gal pals. As an added bonus, a portion of proceeds from each lipstick supports a local charity of the inspiration’s choosing. Pucker up!
