Children’s author, mindfulness guru and instructor, psychotherapist and artist
Last year, you published children’s book The Magical Mindful Day. Why is mindfulness training for children important? Mindfulness is like a superpower we all have; cultivating mindfulness can help children to develop concentration and emotional regulation, among other things.
What’s one thing you’ve done in the last year to change your health? I no longer sleep with my cellphone at my bedside.
What three things do you do to maintain mental well-being? Meditate daily, exercise, and connect with friends and nature at least once a week
How’s your new project, The Compassion Room, in which you chat with groups via video? I never imagined that it was going to be one of the most important works of my career—and life. It is surreal to be able to get together with people from around the globe.
