THE PARTY High rollers gathered for the annual Man Cave at a private La Jolla club, raising $90,000 for Court Appointed Special Advocates, which assists San Diego children in the foster system. The event included hand-rolled cigars, a whiskey tasting, a live auction and charity gambling. THE GUESTS Chair Dick Pfister was the man of the hour, playing host to a bigwig crowd that included Richard Lederer, wordsmith and father of professional poker players Annie Duke and Howard Lederer. THE HIGHLIGHTS An impromptu live-auction item included a private poker lesson for nine with Richard Lederer. Also on the auction block: a San Francisco Giants package with club seats, dinner at the private Gotham Club and a stay at the Palace Hotel. The biggest winner received a custom suit from the venerable Ascot Shop, but considering the poker face belonged to Jennifer Wooten, it will be her fiance who will don the winning tux from the La Jolla men’s store at their upcoming wedding. Now that’s a royal flush. Photography by Tim Hardy,
