Art Exhibition- Salvador Dali: The Argillet Collection

| July 7, 2014 | Calendar

Meyer Fine Art, one of San Diego’s most prestigious fine art galleries, is honored to present the Art Event of the Decade- Salvador Dali: The Argillet Collection. The collection is on exhibition and available for acquisition at the gallery July 25, 2014 through September 6, 2014.The Collection of original etchings and watercolors and Aubusson Tapestries, from the 1930s -1960s, has toured the United States in several major U.S. cities, among them Dallas, Washington, D.C., Chicago, Miami, Singapore and Houston. Now, for the first time, San Diego will host this extraordinary Collection.

The exhibition is a rare opportunity to meet Madame Christine Argillet, daughter of Dali's legendary publisher and confidante, Pierre Argillet, during two scheduled special public appearances by Madame Argillet: Saturday, August 23rd from 6:00PM -9:00PM, and Sunday, August 24th from 1:00PM– 4:00PM. All appearances are complimentary to the public; RSVP’s are strongly recommended. This is an opportunity to meet one of the cultural icons of the Art World: truly the last living link to Salvador Dali. It has often been said by those in the art world that: "Salvador Dali was the creative genius...and Pierre Argillet was the publishing genius".

Thursday, August 21, 2014 from 6:00PM - 9:00PM, Meyer Fine Art will hold a reception for this collection, in conjunction with NoLI Nights, the evening event when the North Little Italy [NoLI] businesses, galleries and eateries open their doors to the public to explore the neighborhood.
