The Timken Museum of Art and UCLA's David C. Copley Center for the Study of Costume Design present an entertaining evening of costumes, culture and conversation at the annual Art of Fashion, Saturday, May 7th. Meet the six graduate design students and discover their artistic process used to create costumes inspired by the 14th century painting Madonna and Child by di Buonaccorso. Enjoy hors d'oeuvres and desserts by Urban Kitchen Catering in the Timken galleries while examining the remarkable costumes.
The event begins at 6:30 with a VIP design preview and exclusive discussion with Derrick R. Cartwright, Timken Curatorial Director, followed by a hosted reception, presentation and scholarship award announcement for the winning designer. Ticket proceeds will benefit the Timken's art education and outreach programs.
