Following an incredible summer season, Del Mar is back for another month of world-class Thoroughbred racing, starting November 10th. It all started back in 1937 when Bing Crosby welcomed the very first race fans to Del Mar. Little did he know he was kicking off a tradition that has become one of San Diego’s most popular annual attractions for 86 years. Each fall, we honor that tradition with the running of the Bing Crosby Season – four weeks of spectacular Thoroughbred racing at the seaside oval. The Bing Crosby Season will soon be underway and there is still plenty of time to plan your day at the track.
2023 is highlighted with popular events and activities during Del Mar’s fall season. On Sundays, enjoy the ultimate Del Mar experience with Taste of the Turf Club complete with a creative, locally-inspired menu with a million-dollar view. Tickets include one daily Turf Club admission, seat and program, plus a three-course brunch with bottomless Mimosas or Bloody Mary’s until 3:00 p.m.
Uncorked is back with its Derby Days Wine Fest on Saturday, November 18th. Enjoy over 100 wines and champagnes, live races from Cabana West, music, local favorite food trucks and more. This ticketed event is for ages 21 & up only.
Plan to celebrate a special Thanksgiving at the track on Thursday, November 23rd. Get the festivities started with an 11:00 a.m. first post while dining on a delicious three-course Thanksgiving feast paired with bottomless bubbly until 1:30 p.m. in the Turf Club.
The day after Thanksgiving, Del Mar presents the Beer & Cider Fest, Friday, November 24th. It’s a free trackside event where you can purchase wristbands for tastings of a wide variety of delicious adult beverages.
Kick off your weekends a little early with Wine Down Fridays, featuring half-off select bottles of wine, including Kendall-Jackson and Trinchero Family Estates wines.
Saturday and Sunday, you can come to the track and still catch the action of College and NFL Football. Watch featured games in select venues each weekend.
The pinnacle of the Bing Crosby Season racing is the Del Mar Turf Festival, showcasing a racing card featuring eight turf races (7 graded) over five days with total purses of $1.4 million.
