Best Party Goes to...

| April 7, 2016 | Parties

It was an elegant, see-and-be-seen affair worthy of SoCal’s A-list at the ultimate Oscar party in Rancho Santa Fe. Tom and Lisa Sullivan graciously opened their Crosby compound to San Diego’s swankiest film buffs for the San Diego Film Festival’s 2nd Annual Awards Viewing Party. The Modern Luxury-sponsored event channeled Hollywood glam with a red carpet, lots of tipples and, in true S.D. spirit, a charitable angle with proceeds benefiting the San Diego Film Foundation.

Mark Cartier—former Paramount Pictures exec-turned-owner of the L.A. production company North of Two—made an appearance, as he was in town scouting America’s Finest City as a backdrop for his next production.

Speaking of award winners, the culinary lineup was stacked with famous San Diego gastronomers: Trey Foshee of Galaxy Taco and George’s at the Cove; Stephen Gage of Underbelly; James Montejano of La Valencia Hotel; and Fernando Gaxiola of Baja Food & Wine. The evening boasted everything but that little gold statue. -Photography by Tim Hardy
