Art Alive celebrates its 30th anniversary.
The Party: SDMA’s annual Art Alive gala never disappoints, but for its 30th anniversary under the stars, the museum pulled out all the stops. The Scene: The evening kicked off with a VIP Champagne reception in the rotunda, which was decked out in a va-va-voom arrangement of lilies, orchids, roses, hydrangeas and tulips. Outside, guests sampled dishes from top S.D. chefs, including a stellar ceviche from George’s Trey Foshee. On this night, guests donned festive attire including floral headpieces, but none compared to the fab fascinators of the models hovering over the crowd on stilts. The best part? The museum exceeded its $500,000 fundraising goal.
