Child's Play

The Party
After 31 years—during which time it has assisted more than 180,000 children globally with lifesaving surgeries—Children’s Lifeline held its inaugural fundraising gala at the US Grant.

The Players
Zandra Rhodes was on hand to honor her partner, Salah Hassanein. The former motion picture executive founded the children’s charity in the 1980s, responding to an appeal from first lady Nancy Reagan.

The Scene
The Grant ballroom glowed in fuchsia shades as brilliant as Rhodes’ signature coif as patrons dined and danced to tunes from Wayne Foster Entertainment. –Photography by Stacy Keck
