THE PARTY Championing the futures of foster children is the admirable mission behind Promises2Kids, a local nonprofit that toasted its 40th anniversary during its 12th annual Dream On Concert Gala. THE PEOPLE Nearly 500 foster youth advocates convened at the private Foxhill Estate in La Jolla, owned by Doug Manchester. It was there that event sponsors Kevin and Raegan Prior, along with co-chairs Lisa Corbosiero, Vivianne Villanueva Dhupa, Deborah Marengo, Jolene Perry and Joan Waitt, presented a gorgeous night under the stars. Partygoers indulged in a curated meal by Pamplemousse Grille chef-owner Jeffrey Strauss. THE PINNACLE While an exclusive concert by Belinda Carlisle, former lead singer of Grammy-nominated band The Go-Go’s, delighted the crowd, it was the $1.4 million garnered for the 3,000 current and former foster children living in San Diego that meant the most.
