Scott McMillin and Andy McMillin, the principals of McMillin LLC, invited a group of influential friends, clients and neighbors to the grand opening celebration of Eighteen Ten State St., their luxury residential building that sits on Little Italy’s highest elevation and has unobstructed views of San Diego Bay and the city’s skyline.
THE PARTY Fans of McMillin LLC’s luxury developments plus city officials and friends and family of Scott McMillin and Andy McMillin gathered to celebrate the opening of Eighteen Ten State St., the company’s 99-unit luxury residential building in one of Little Italy’s last remaining developable sites. They took tours of the fabulous new urban community, which includes the sixth-story Sky Spa, a rooftop lounge with indoor-outdoor entertaining, a hotel-inspired lobby and a lushly landscaped open-air patio available to residents. THE SCENE Little Italy restaurants were on hand to serve signature dishes, turning the entire building into a fun culinary tour of the neighborhood, and the rooftop Horizon Lounge provided guests with musical entertainment and harbor views. THE HIGHLIGHTS Born & Raised greeted guests in the hotel-inspired lobby with dry-aged meatballs; on the open-air Village Patio, Salt & Straw served strawberry coladas and salted caramel ice cream; and in the Penthouse Suites, Indigo Grill, Craft & Commerce and Ironside Fish & Oyster offered bites and sips including hickory-smoked pork ribs, oysters on the half shell and signature cocktails. -Andrea Bennett
