Angels Foster Family Network will present its first evening fundraising event, An Evening with Angels, on October 12th at 6 PM at the beautiful Hyatt Regency La Jolla at Aventine. The evening will feature a cocktail reception followed by an elegant seated dinner, live auction and VIP reception, hosted by San Diego radio personality and former Angels foster parent, Jeff Detrow. Bestselling author and screenwriter, Antwone Fisher, the inspiration behind the eponymous film directed by and starring Academy Award winning actor Denzel Washington, will serve as the evening’s special guest and will share the moving story of his harrowing journey through the traditional foster care system. All of the evening’s donations will assist the Angels Foster Family Network with its mission to place the more than 1,500 infants and toddlers that fall victim of abuse and neglect in San Diego County each year in loving homes— one family at a time.
