THE PARTY
Raise a glass! Gen 7 Wines hosted its fifth annual Fall Release Party, dubbed Festa del Vino, in Rancho Santa Fe. The gathering boasted an Italian farm-to-table multicourse feast, live music performed by Anna Danes and—of course—perfect wine pairings. Chef Drew McPartlin prepared favorites like butternut squash cannelloni and panzanella salad.
THE SCENE
Oenophiles such as Richard and Monica Davey and Frances Powell flocked to the home of Gen 7 Wines owners Tim and Susanné Bacino. The Bacino family, with daughter Gabriella (the seventh generation of Gen 7), have winemaking in their blood—their legacy dates back more than 180 years.
THE HIGHLIGHTS
Excitement was tangible, and the award-winning winery introduced new releases including the 2013 Road to Singapore and the 1832 Cabernet Sauvignon, plus approachable options with the Gen 7 Viognier and 2014 Central Coast Chardonnay. Missed this year’s festivities? Gen 7’s wine club offers access to its line of new and legendary bottles. We’ll drink to that! ‒Kalah Siegel
