THE PARTY The Sanford-Burnham Medical Research Institute celebrated its 35th anniversary gala, Mining for a Cure, with a Western showdown at Wyland Center at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. THE CAUSE The renowned medical institute contributes to cutting-edge research in cancer, neuroscience and drug discovery. The shindig raised more than $1.7 million.
