As Good as It Gets

The Berry Good Food Foundation is bringing nine of the region's best chefs together for one night only, and all in the name of a “berry” good cause.

If you haven’t gotten your tickets for Berry Good Noche yet, don’t worry—there is still time. The dinner under the stars, which takes place in Baja, brings nine celebrated chefs together for one night only Oct. 18. For the last eight years, Berry Good Night was the invite-only affair, but the charitable organization has opened this year’s dinner to the general public in its mission to connect local farmers, fishermen, chefs, winemakers and other advocates to support a sustainable food movement in San Diego County and Baja.

This year, the organization will embark on a cross-border collaboration at the gorgeous outdoor venue Troika, located adjacent to wine country landmarks La Villa del Valle and Vena Cava winery, with 100 percent of ticket proceeds going toward the Baja School Garden Program of the Berry Good Food Foundation. Joining in the festivities are award-winning chefs Javier Plascencia (Misión 19), Diego Hernández (Corazón de Tierra), Tomás Bermúdez (La Docena), Maribel Aldaco (Fauna), David Castro Hussong (Fauna), Flor Franco (Franco on Fifth), Elsa Olmos (Cercano Comedor), Davin Waite (Wrench & Rodent), and Ryan Costanza (Dija Mara). Same-day round-trip transportation is offered by Baja Wine + Food. 5-10PM, tickets $150
