THE PARTY
Talk about a production! The La Jolla Playhouse Gala is one of the biggest philanthropic cultural powerhouses in town—and the proof is in the party. A well-deserved marquee moment erupted when 320 of San Diego’s leading do-gooders donated a staggering $1 million to benefit the theatre’s education and outreach program as well as new play development. The evening also paid homage to Gregory Peck and commemorated what would have been the Playhouse co-founder’s 100th birthday.
THE GUESTS
Three of Peck’s children were in attendance to celebrate their father’s legacy, along with family friend and Hollywood legend Angie Dickinson. Chairwoman Debby Jacobs was another star of the show as she helmed the affair flawlessly.
THE HIGHLIGHTS
Wine aficionados were in good hands thanks to the $5,000 Commanderie and $2,500 Sommelier ticket levels with wine hosts for the evening, treating their respective tables to favorite selects from their personal cellars. The grand finale? An illustrious rock concert with Tony Award winner and Bon Jovi founder David Bryan—so until next year’s big bash, we’ll be “Livin’ on a Prayer”! -Photography by Bekah Peace Photography
