Take your horse to the beach for an unforgettable oceanside experience. D & J Stables has direct access to beach trails, more than enough space for horse trailers and amenities that will keep your horse happy, healthy, and looking good. Guests can even camp on the beach with their horses and trailers.

Head to Pony Land for a stress-free, all-inclusive trail riding experience with no prior horse experience needed. Rides tour the Tijuana River Valley Nature Preserve and guests can choose to focus their ride on the beach, swimming or the sunset. The stable also offers riding lessons with trainers well versed in western, dressage and vaulting techniques.

Riders of all skill levels will enjoy a trail ride with Poway Equestrian Center and San Diego Trail Company. The stable is located atop a desert plateau so its views are always awe-inspiring. Guests are carefully paired with horses that will suit their temperament, along with their size and ability. Rides are planned for parties of two, so if you intend to bring more than that be sure to call or book online ahead of time.

Enjoy a day at the beach with well-behaved horses and miles of beautiful beach trails. San Diego Riding has both ponies and horses, along with lessons on how to ride both. Additionally, there are three arenas and large lights on the property, which means there’s always horseback riding to be seen in action. Relax and enjoy a guided trail ride through coastal Border Field State Park. Guests under eight years old can ride ponies on the ranch, while guests of all ages can take riding lessons from trained equestrians and partake in breathtaking trail rides.
