Mama's Kitchen will be celebrating its 25th anniversary with an event aimed to raise $500,000 to their organization. Mama's Kitchen is known for its mission of providing hot nutritious meals at no charge to San Diego's local men, women, and children battling AIDS or cancer. With over 350 guests expected to attend, Mama's Kitchen is hoping to raise half their yearly food budget in order to continue with their outstanding food services.
Jon Bailey and Indra Gardiner Bowers, founders of the advertising and public relations agency of i.d.e.a., will be chairing the event. The two met at one of Mama's Kitchen's first events. They continue supporting and encouraging what Mama's Kitchen has done for the San Diego community.
The event will be a farm to table menu experience, serving various comfort foods, cocktails, and beverages. Many of the ingredients in the menu have been locally grown and donated by local farms. Entertainment includes a live auction, band of San Diego chefs, as well as a DJ.
General admission tickets will be sold for $150. VIP tickets are sold for $300, which include early access to the event at 5:30pm and entrance to an exclusive pre-party. Tickets and sponsorship information can be found here.
