Continuing her exploration of our delicate relationship with the natural world, Lauren Carrera’s new exhibit, “Investigations” at Art Pulse Gallery takes us further along the trajectory charted by her groundbreaking installation, “Specimens & Renderings from The Carrera Expedition”, currently on exhibit at Liberty Station. Carrera’s installations and paintings are an often humorous and wry meditation on the marriage of science and art, and on the fragile balance between the organic and man-made worlds.
