When Jina Javier realized the city’s need for an experience-focused nail salon, she didn’t sit around and wait for one to open—she did something about it. Enter LEO, North Park’s newest nail salon and wellness hub. “I wanted to create a space that was detail-oriented from the moment you walk in to the moment you walk out,” says Javier, who worked with San Diego-based interior designer Katie Gebhardt to create her dream space. From the modern, bohemian design elements to the aromas, sounds and products, every detail is intentional and health-conscious. “I wanted to be the first in our city to focus on bringing wellness to the forefront,” says Javier—and she’s done just that. Offering toxin-free products, essential oil blends, organic lotions and monthly wellness themes, LEO educates its clients about each product so they can choose what’s right for them.
