The Party Now there’s more Louis Vuitton to love! The recently revamped Fashion Valley boutique fĂȘted its makeover and expanded product offering (think handmade Italian shoes and travel accessories) with a fancy in-store cocktail party.The Scene LV-clad bellmen ushered nearly 100 guests into the white stone and glass shop, where canapĂ©s and cocktails were passed. In a nod to local sailing culture, the boutique features an area dedicated to LV’s Louis Vuitton Cup collection that’s flanked by a plasma screen to broadcast the America’s Cup races next summer. Among the VIPs in attendance was LV’s West Coast senior VP, Tommaso De Vecchi.The Highlights The luxury label’s latest art-fashion union, between Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama and designer Marc Jacobs, stole the night, from the graphic bags to the polka-dot sculpture in the store window. Keeping with the Asian-inspired theme, La Jolla Playhouse actors performed a sneak preview of the recent production Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots. Photography by Donald Norris
