The Party The powerhouse law firm that is Gomez Iagmin opened its new downtown offices with a ’60s-inspired bash. The Scene Creative party guru Andrew Spurgin envisioned a retro theme, replete with beehived waitresses doling out appetizers on mail carts, and The Floral Department delivered in spades. Meanwhile, in a makeshift nightclub, The Wild Thyme Company dished up old-school classics like steak and mushrooms. Other inventive details included candy cigarettes in the boardroom, a mock courtroom trial and an automat featuring grasshopper whoopie pies and banana-dulce de leche cream pies. The Highlight Our fave mix masters from Snake Oil Cocktails conducted libation seminars, and old-fashioned drinks were served from—where else?—the good ol’ water cooler. Let’s just say the gossip was free flowing. Photography by Jeff Corrigan
