GUAC ’N’ ROLL
A fiesta awaits at Go Go Amigo, a new South of the Border-inspired restaurant from local hospitality group Good Time Design. Known for Moonshine Beach and The Presley, the group’s latest eatery at Point Loma’s Liberty Station will take guests on a flavorful culinary journey celebrating both classic and fusion takes on Mexican cuisine thanks to executive chef Todd Nash. Wet your whistle with a cucumber jalapeno margarita before exploring dishes like rockfish and pulpo aguachile (with cucumber, jicama, shallot, red fresno, cilantro, avocado, serrano foam and plantain chips) or the decadent chicken tinga grilled cheese (with queso Oaxaca, avocado, pickled red onion, cotija griddled toast and consomme dip). Tacos, soups, salads and sinfully good desserts will round out the delicious menu. Date night, done. gogoamigosd.com; libertystation.com

Stackable styles are also aplenty and Marrow’s latest bands have been designed to perfectly complement its gorgeous engagement rings. Let forever begin. marrowfine.com

Masterpieces by Paul Cézanne, Edgar Degas, Claude Monet, Berthe Morisot, Pablo Picasso, Alfred Sisley and Pierre Bonnard will travel from their permanent home at the historic Hôtel d’Assézat in Toulouse, France, for the anticipated showcase. “It is a privilege to once again collaborate with the Bemberg Foundation and be one of the few institutions in the world to showcase these incredible works,” says SDMA’s Maruja Baldwin Executive Director and CEO Roxana Velásquez. “This is an extraordinary opportunity to view masters in impressionism who completely defined the movement.” sdmart.org

QUE SYRAH, SYRAH It’s time to raise a glass in Lemon Grove where local restaurateur Karina Kravalis has debuted Zest Wine Bistro. “After all these years of owning Giardino, I’ve learned that Lemon Grove and East County residents love their wine,” notes Kravalis. “There are so many of us who share a passion for good wine and wanted a place to sip and toast. Zest is just that—a social gathering space to come try and learn about wine, and nosh on good food.” A monthly wine club is on tap for vino enthusiasts while small dishes—including truffle burrata and bountiful charcuterie boards—promise to please palates. BRIGHT IDEAS Explore the biomorphic cubism—a fusion of biomorphic abstraction and cubist-style composition—of Russian artist Alexander Arshansky. On display through March 13 at Sparks Gallery in the Gaslamp Quarter, Arshansky’s vibrant works are highlighted in Silent Witness, an exhibition that poses the idea of art as a “witness” to our lives. “Each artwork is an artist’s child, that will eventually find its own home, and has a unique opportunity to become a silent witness to someone’s life,” says Arshansky. “The show presents a stylistic variety of artworks that will hopefully become amazing silent witnesses to the lives of many.” sparksgallery.com
