THE PARTY The March of Dimes Signature Chefs Gala was held this fall on Paddock Green at the Del Mar Race Track. The “supper by the bite” experience with top San Diego chefs, including Ryan Johnston of Wisknladle, The Wooden Spoon’s Jesse Paul and Evan Cruz of Arterra Del Mar, was a smash success and raised $250,000 for the March of Dimes, which funds research, education, advocacy and programs that help more moms have full-term pregnancies and healthy babies. THE GUESTS High-profile attendees included Lance Prince, MD, PhD, division chief of neonatology at UCSD, Rady Children’s Hospital, and Kathryn Sanchez, constituent affairs representative from Congressman Darrell Issa’s office. THE HIGHLIGHTS Live and silent auction prizes included exciting vacation packages, like a three-night stay in Sonoma wine country and seven nights in Jamaica, Hawaii or an Italian villa. -Karen Rose
