San Diego has some of the best private golf and thoroughbred racing clubs in the country, but with the addition of some new hotel spas and membership programs for San Diegans, now we can all live like we're on vacation, all the time. Get ready to spend your summer relaxing in these fabulous private clubs.

La Valencia
The La Jolla landmark’s spa opens this month, offering exclusive five-year “Club La V” memberships to a group of no more than 100 members. Those lucky enough to secure a spot will spend a $5,000 initiation fee plus quarterly dues and have use of the oceanview pool and spa; discounts on spa services and use of the fitness room, plus preferred seating in the restaurants, entrance to the wine club’s tastings and events, and even concierge service. 1132 Prospect St., La Jolla, 858.454.0771

AquaVie Fitness + Wellness Club
When the Spa at AquaVie opened last year in the $14 million, 40,000 square foot wellness club connected to the Westgate Hotel locals took notice (and bought memberships!). Several membership tiers include access to the spa, rooftop pool and hot tub, three outdoor studios with equipment and a rubberized rooftop running track. Spring for Tier 4 membership ($4527 annually), which includes unlimited classes, a monthly spa service, parking and a private locker. 234 Broadway, San Diego, 619.557.3663

Omni La Costa Resort & Spa
The world-famous super-resort has a fabulous spa, athletic club, tennis, golf and no fewer than five dining venues. Membership has several tiers (call for pricing), but those who belong enjoy weekly tennis clinics, swimming pools, an onside nursery and kids’ night camp (with 600-gallon exotic fish aquarium), members-only events, preferred pricing throughout the resort and of course 36 holes of golf in the Champions and Legends courses. Tip: Signature Golf members get perks in other Omni Hotels & Resorts locations, too.
2100 Costa Del Mar Road, Carlsbad, 760.438.9111

Hotel del Coronado
Those who buy in to the Club at The Del buy in for life—or at least 30 years. The $50,000 membership fee includes a social schedule of events throughout the year. Notable recent experiences have included shopping with designer John Varvatos, cocktail blending classes with Bacardi’s head mixologist, and meet and greets with celeb chefs and guests. There are even parts of the mammoth property that are available to members only, like the private Member Beach and Windsor Cottage, which serves breakfast, cocktails, dinner and holds events for Coronado’s elite. 1500 Orange Ave., Coronado, 619.435.6611
