SINNERS WELCOME Celebrity chefs continue to lay down roots in San Diego and the latest transplant is Gordon Ramsay, who will open the third outpost of his famed Hell’s Kitchen at Harrah’s Resort Southern California in spring 2022. Mayser draws upon more than two decades of experience to create custom mattresses, sofas and sectionals, utilizing locally sourced materials in an effort to lower the company’s carbon footprint. “Our furniture is designed with staying power in mind, meaning that it won’t end up in a landfill a couple of years down the road,” says Mayser. BRANCHING OUT While designer and founder Shanan Campanaro of New York-based textile studio Eskayel now calls Brooklyn home, she was inspired by her hometown of San Diego for her latest wallcovering and fabric collection. Dubbed Palm Perfect, the beach-chic line depicts a real-life cluster of palm trees found at the Traps at San Elijo surf break in Cardiff-by-the-Sea. Seven colorways of the pattern are available, allowing buyers to pick the hue that best suits their aesthetic.
