Office Space

The Party Held at the Coronado home of Ellen and David Dolgen, the LJ Playhouse Spotlight Dinner, celebrating the opening of Glengarry Glen Ross, struck a Mad Men moment with retro office staging—tweed chairs and dirty martinis included! The scene Theater lovers gathered around the pool turned office lobby for cocktails and campy nibbles, like Swedish meatballs and deviled eggs, courtesy of Campine. After conversation around the water cooler (literally), guests made their way to the conference room for dinner, where “while you were out” notepads served as place cards and cutlery was placed in penholders. The Highlights Playhouse Artistic Director Christopher Ashley and Glengarry Glen Ross actor Johnny Wu held an engaging conversation about the production, set in a Chicago real estate office. How did the night adjourn? Coffee and gourmet crullers, of course. Photography by Arielle vey
