The Party
Support for SDMA was in full bloom when the museum hosted a VIP preview party for Art Alive, giving select patrons an exclusive peek at plans for the late-April fete and exhibition.
The Players
International floral designer René van Rems, returning for his seventh time as Art Alive’s rotunda designer, lifted the veil on his lush, Victorian-influenced floral designs, themed to honor Balboa Park’s centennial. Meanwhile, sought-after jewelry designer Katey Brunini promoted Fabergé expert Timothy Adams’ lecture on the influence of nature on 20th century goldsmiths.
The Scene
