Pop Stars

| December 16, 2014 | Parties National

The Party
Appropriately, everyone got their Warhol moment on Instagram at the latest Culture & Cocktails at The San Diego Museum of Art. The pop art-themed soiree kicked off the exhibit Gauguin to Warhol: 20th Century Icons from the Albright-Knox Art Gallery.

The Players
The centerpiece was Warhol’s “100 Cans,” considered one of his best soup can paintings. Other stars to ogle included van Gogh, Kandinsky, DalĂ, Pollock, de Kooning, Rothko and our very own Robert Irwin.

The Scene
The party-arty crowd sipped cocktails courtesy of SDMA’s new restaurant, Panama 66, including a Campbell’s Soup Bloody Mary. The toast: “To The Factory!” –Photography by Bauman Photographers
