The Party
Pacific Hospitality Group, the new owner of three top SoCal resorts, teamed up with Napa’s Trinitas Cellars and Fumanelli Cellars of Verona, Italy, for an over-the-top wine dinner at Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa.

The Scene
Amid the lavish setting, Timothy Busch, founder and CEO of Pacific Hospitality Group, toasted the crowd. In addition to Estancia, Busch recently took over the lavish Bacara resort in Santa Barbara and the stalwart Balboa Bay Club & Resort in Newport Beach. Estancia has a refreshed new look, courtesy of Laguna Beach designer A.C. Atherton. The $4 million remodel includes chic and invigorated design throughout the guest rooms, the spa and restaurants—not to mention the lush grounds. Classic carriage lanterns now dot the garden pathways, upping the romance factor.

The Highlight
Guests feasted on the ultimate wine-country fare, courtesy of chef Kimberley Kramer. The menu, inspired by both Italy and California, featured local spiny lobster and lamb with cannellini and chorizo. Mangia! Photography by Tim King
