THE PARTY The opening of Tommy Hilfiger at Fashion Valley, benefiting Autism Society San Diego THE SCENE The new San Diego store also celebrated Surf Shack, a limited-edition, surf-inspired capsule collection that launched worldwide. (We love the surfboard-shaped clutch for a dash of whimsy.) The line is a modern interpretation of the laid-back surf culture so evocative of S.D., taking the brand in a pure East Coast meets West Coast direction. On this night, partygoers (and waiters) were decked out in head-to-toe Tommy. Actor Josh Bowman rocked a blue chambray single-breasted blazer, and pro surfer Kalani Robb donned a sleek navy suit. Meanwhile, Charger fans got to schmooze with Philip Rivers, Derek Cox and Chibuikem Okoro. THE HIGHLIGHTS Guests enjoyed music by DJ Zen Freeman and participated in an Instagram photo booth throughout the evening. Crowds oohed over the limited-edition board by NYC artist Richard Phillips. It would make any surf session all the more fashionable, but we have a hunch it won’t be getting wet. Photography by Getty Images
