Rolex Makes Waves In Fashion Valley With New Exhibition

Few brands are immersed in maritime history as deeply as Rolex, and with the opening of Fourtané’s first Rolex boutique, inside Fashion Valley, San Diegans can now sport the brand’s iconic nautical timepieces. Imitating the same precision and detail as the inner workings of the fine watches, the iconic Switzerland-designed space embodies San Diego’s nautical roots with its custom-sculpted aqua walls with an undulating wave motif, and wood flooring and soft-edge tables, both resembling yacht-esque decor. A custom-designed exhibition, Deepest Dive, showcases the luxury brand’s unparalleled commitment to the big blue by highlighting the only two successful manned expeditions to the bottom of the Mariana Trench in the Pacific Ocean, one of which, was equipped with an experimental Oyster model, the Deep Sea Special, attached to the hull of the vessel. The 1,500-square-foot store carries Rolex’s iconic wristwatches—namely, the self-winding, mechanical Oyster Perpetual models.
