La Jolla Shores Hotel & La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club
On Jan. 20, from 1 to 5 p.m., San Diego chefs and Chefworks are hosting a fundraiser at Herb & Wood to support World Central Kitchen and those affected by the L.A. wildfires. Each ticket will include smash burgers, oysters and fries from the county’s best chefs, with beer, wine and cocktails available for purchase. Donations will also be accepted on location. Clique Hospitality’s Oxford Social Club presents “Bartend for a Cause” on Jan. 25, a fundraising event with proceeds going toward the California Fire Foundation and Direct Relief. Come by for sounds by DJ Crooked, prizes and a specialty Hennessy VSOP cocktail. A donation box will also be available all night for those who choose to bring physical donations.
Through Jan. 31, the handroll, sushi and sake bar will donate all proceeds from its specialty Chente handroll, made with Mexican bay scallops, yuzu agua chile, red onion, cilantro and crispy tortilla chips. The donations will go directly to GoFundMe's Wildfire Relief Fund 2025.
The Oceanside eatery is accepting donations to help its pledge of 1,500 burritos to the firefighters combatting the L.A. wildfires.
The North Park pizza joint is keeping the “Bobby Green for Kevin” pie on the menu this week. They will be donating 100% of the sales of this specialty pizza split 50/50 between Side Pie in Altadena and the California Fire Foundation.
Los Angeles locals who have come to San Diego to escape the wildfires will receive a family meal on the house with proof of residency, including the choice of a pepperoni or Margherita pizza and pasta tray (marinara or meat).
Dining for Disaster Relief
From Jan. 15 to 31, the following San Diego-based restaurants are donating proceeds from select menu items to support the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank’s vital relief efforts for wildfire victims.
The Japanese-inspired lounge in Little Italy will donate 100% of the proceeds from the Master Roshi Roll and the Tea Ceremony cocktail.
The Original 40 Brewing Company
At this North Park eatery, opt for the January burger of the month—where 50% of each purchase will go toward the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank.
Coco Maya in Little Italy will donate 50% of the proceeds from its signature chicken and waffles, served with mascarpone and guava syrup.
For those in North County, Carlsbad’s PARK 101 will donate 50% of sales of their “Chicken N Waffle” sandwich.
The Lobby Tiki Bar & Grill and Cococabana
Oceanside residents: these two iconic eateries will donate 50% of the proceeds from the chicken and waffles dish.
Order the Drop Top Chicken Flock dish during brunch at this North Park Nola-inspired eatery. 50% of the proceeds will go toward the cause.
