The San Diego Natural History Museum Toasts Its 150th Anniversary

To toast its 150th anniversary, the San Diego Natural History Museum is digging into its archives to honor its storied past while looking to its bright future.

Known as the Summer of Wonder, the initiative brings brand-new exhibits and films, special programs and activities, plus extended hours, to the Balboa Park Institute through Sept. 2. Explore the Nature Trail at The Nat, an immersive outdoor garden blooming with native plants, and Action from the Archives: The Nat at 150, a photographic journey through the museum’s illustrious past. Here, we travel back in time with a glimpse of the dazzling display.
