GEORGINA GETTMAN PORTRAIT AND SAINTE MARIE DRESS PHOTOS COURTESY OF GEORGINA GETT MAN
Georgina Gettman’s passion for fine fabrics and fashion design was fostered by her parents, who imported beautiful European silks, laces and textiles to their Chula Vista store, Designer Fabric. Now, Gettman is carrying that spirit on with Sainte Marie, a fashion, home decor and full-service design showroom in Little Italy where she offers original womenswear crafted from heirloom fabrics she’s collected for the past two decades. Up next, she will make a splash with the launch of Sainte Marie’s debut swimwear line. Here, Gettman takes us inside her artistic world.
