THE PARTY From their impressive three-story offices in a revitalized historic building in the Gaslamp, OliverMcMillan toasted to 35 years of high design. Across the country, the renowned developers have elevated urban jungles with the mixed-use developments, including Atlanta’s Buckhead and our own buzzy 16.5-block Gaslamp District. THE SCENE Pop jazz singer Aja Lee Faassee and bluegrass guitarist Ryan Hiller were among the musicians entertaining partygoers, including founding CEO Dene Oliver, who mingled while sipping cocktails and nibbling hors d’oeuvres prepared by local chef Simon Lynn. THE HIGHLIGHTS San Diego mixed-media artist Deborah Brennan, whose Japanese-influenced works have been featured in many OliverMcMillan projects, displayed her latest paintings at the bash. A portion of the night’s proceeds was donated to the city’s campaign to End Homelessness in Downtown San Diego. Photography by Tim Hardy, shotbyhardy.com
