THE PARTY The intermission reception at the San Diego Opera’s benefit concert with Renée Fleming THE SCENE Opera patrons in black tie gathered under the posh Bravissimo Patron tent for wine and decadent bites. Meanwhile, backstage, Fleming changed into a second glamorous gown by Angel Sanchez. THE HIGHLIGHT After more than 15 years since her last performance in S.D., Fleming sang a selection of arias, Broadway tunes and contemporary works, from West Side Story’s “I Feel Pretty” to “Soul Meets Body” from Death Cab for Cutie.
