THE PARTY The city’s society darlings pulled out their opera gloves and pearls for the San Diego Opera’s 2013 Gala, which coincided with the company’s 48th season and opening of The Daughter of the Regiment. Snap up tickets this month for Murder in the Cathedral, which opens March 30. THE SCENE Like Donzetti’s comedy, the evening took on a French theme. The twinkling Salon Magnifique at the Civic Theatre Complex was the setting for a black-tie cocktail reception before the show, then dinner and dancing with the cast afterward.
