THE PARTY San Diego’s best dressed flocked to the Broadway Pier for Nordstrom’s annual spring Designer Preview. The forecast: floral, tribal prints and bright colors! The retailer designed an evening of immense eye candy and retail therapy to benefit Promises 2 Kids. Entrance-making looks courtesy of Celine, Stella McCartney and Givenchy made for one of the best runway shows of the season. THE HIGHLIGHTS The evening began with cocktails and shopping, as guests circulated around a pop-up boutique stocked with Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana and Jimmy Choo. A front row of A-list locals clicked camera phones and applauded the parade of 99 looks. Guests swooned at the finale: a marigold taffeta balloon-skirt ball gown with a black embroidered tulle top, from the man, the master, Oscar de la Renta. BEST IN SHOW The sartorial soirĂ©e helped raise more than $75,000 for Promises 2 Kids, which helps abused and neglected children in the city. Now that’s fashion-forward. Photography by Timothy King
