Tera Peterson, co-founder and CEO of Encinitas-based microcurrent beauty device and skincare brand NuFACE, followed in her mother’s footsteps when she started training as an esthetician. Her mother, Carol Cole, began specializing in microcurrent facials in the 1980s, working with celebrity clients in Hollywood. Peterson, along with her mother and sister Kim Morales, created NuFACE to bring microcurrent technology into homes, growing the company to become one of the top at-home beauty device brands. NuFACE celebrates its 15th anniversary this year, with the brand continuing to expand and evolve, including offering in-home treatments locally for high-profile clients. “I love working with our clients,” says Peterson. “I’ve started doing NuFACE House Calls and still love seeing their reactions even after lifting thousands of faces.” Here, she shares the beauty and skincare products she’s loving right now.
