San Diego continues to hit all the right notes with the debut of The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park. As the first year-round permanent waterfront venue in the United States, The Rady Shell marks a spectacular milestone for the community. San Diego Symphony, which manages the venue, will open its inaugural season Aug. 6 with the world premiere of Mason Bates’ Soundcheck in C Major, conducted by Rafael Payare. A gala and star-studded dinner led by celebrity chef Richard Blais will take place prior to the concert. “The long-awaited moment has come when we welcome San Diego to this magnificent, one-of-a-kind gathering place we have created for the entire community,” shares CEO Martha A.
