The Big Reveal

| March 3, 2016 | Parties National

Art heavyweights and style mavens turned out in full force to attend the VIP unveiling of Madison Gallery. How to top its previous ocean-view digs? A contemporary space in the former Saks Fifth Avenue, one of La Jolla’s most iconic buildings.
Collectors in the house included Teresa and Bob Salkin as well as Ellen and David Dolgen. From the design world, Esteban Lopez of Esteban Interiors was in good company with Kate Lindberg of McCormick & Wright along with luxury Realtor Priscilla Wood.
The inaugural exhibition in the new space featured the works of California minimalist Lori Cozen-Geller and Santa Fe-based abstract geometric artist Jeff Kahm, who were in attendance. Mark calendars for Dina Goldstein’s Gods of Suburbia (March 19-April 30), and just in time for spring, NYC’s famed Hunt Slonem returns in May with bunnies and butterflies. Let’s paint the town. -Photography by Tim Hardy
