BY Kalah Siegel | January 20, 2017 | Feature Features

Make those reservations in advance! Valentine's Day is almost here and these five restos have you covered for the ultimate romantic meal. Cue the moody lighting and French wine…
Monello's spaghetti all'amatriciana

1. Exclusively on Feb. 14, enjoy Bleu Bohème’s three-course Saint Valentin’ menu featuring steak carpaccio with house-smoked filet mignon and shaved fennel and rocket salad to start. Entrée standouts include saumon “Oscar” fresh King salmon pan roasted with crab, but the real show stopper for any sweet tooth is the traditional crème brulée and other French delicacies on tap for dessert. $75 per person, 4090 Adams Ave., San Diego, 619.255.4167

2. In North County, look no further than Chandler’s Oceanfront Dining for an indulgent four-course feast. The menu includes its famed seafood favorites like lobster risotto and sesame seared ahi as well as other signature dishes like herb crusted rib eye. Busy schedules also have a friend in this haunt, as the prix fixe dinner can be enjoyed Feb. 10-14. $64 per person, Cape Rey, 1 Ponto Road, Carlsbad, 760.683.5500

3. Known for its nightcaps and stellar libations, Jsix is taking a culinary approach to Feb. 14 with Executive Chef Anthony Sinsay and Sous-Chef Ashley Kato at the helm. The team is preparing a three-course dinner composed of Pacific oysters served with passion fruit mignonette and Maine lobster tagliatelle made with lemon-dill and black trumpet mushroom. For the grand finale, dig into the chocolate pot de creme—a coffee streusel with candied citron. $55 per person, 616 J St., San Diego, 619.531.8744

4. Take your amore on a trip to Little Italy via Monello’s cheese-inspired Valentine’s Day options. The timeless and cozy concept is serving up a 40-pound wheel of cheese for its two spectacular plates: risotto with imported truffle or spaghetti all’amatriciana. In addition to Valentine’s Day, the dinner specials will also be available Feb. 11 and 12. 750 W. Fir St., San Diego, 619.501.0030

5. Paging Paris! The Westgate Hotel’s Executive Chef Fabrice Hardel is channeling the City of Love in the Fontainebleau Room with a five-course French dinner and wine pairing. Guests are presented with a signature cocktail and red rose upon arrival, before being swept away by acclaimed French artist Chantal Roche and her trio, who will be singing sweet renditions of famous love songs from the likes of Edith Piaf and Jacques Brel. $179 per person, 1055 Second Ave., San Diego, 800.522.1564
