THE PARTY Supporters of the world-renowned cancer treatment center City of Hope sat down to a luncheon honoring Tamara Strauss. THE SCENE In the dining room, an amethyst palette referenced Strauss’ work with precious gems. Flanked by her own treasures, including her mother Iris and sons Grant and Brandon, the family-focused honoree greeted Champagne-sipping guests before presiding over a gourmet luncheon. THE HIGHLIGHTS Talent runs in the family! Son Brandon Alter serenaded the crowd before his mother took the stage for a moving account of her pledge to her sister, Stefanie, to help other women facing an ovarian cancer diagnosis.
