Turning Tables

| April 28, 2011 | Parties

The Party: San Diego’s groundbreaking nightclub, Fluxx, celebrated its one-year anniversary in serious style with energetic performances by British sensation Luciana and hip-hop icon Common. The Scene: Guests noshed on sushi and build-your-own tacos from food stations. Common showed off his lyrical prowess by busting out a free-style rap filled with S.D. shout-outs to local pizza fave Ciro’s and Chargers defensive end Larry English, who was also in the house. Up Next: The nightclub, which is constantly changing themes, has just unveiled Fluxx*adelic. Think black lights, optical art and bottle-service babes in sexy ’70s getups. Club-goers will be transported to a posh, psychedelic world. Better bust out your jumpsuit, ladies.
