The late, great fashion designer Virgil Abloh may have released his last full collection with Louis Vuitton, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t more yet to look forward to.
Step into the legacy of one of modern fashion’s most mesmerizing minds with the latest LV Driver moccasins. The colorful shoes were created as part of Abloh’s Pre-Fall/Winter 2022 Collection for the legendary French fashion house.
The LV Driver collection moccasins are available in two versions and seven different color palettes. The monogram grained calfskins come with brightly-colored soles in white, orange and green, as well as proprietary LV colors Ébène and Éclipse.
The second design is formed from suede and is embossed with the LV signature monogram, this time coming in either navy blue or mocha colorways.
Each shoe is a work of art and tireless craft, requiring at least an hour for the stitching alone which is completed entirely by hand. That attention to detail, commitment to color and effortless sense of originality is what has come to define Abloh’s career.
The American-born designer tragically passed away in November of 2021 after a private battle with cancer. He was 41 years old. The news broke shortly after he’d made headlines for selling 60 percent of his personal fashion label Off-White to LVHM, while simultaneously earning more control within the LVHM family.
Louis Vuitton marks these shoes as Abloh’s first driving moccasin design in a press release, which implies that there may be more to come.
