The annual Wine, Women, Shoes was held in Mission Hills, which meant women of Rancho Santa Fe were (gasp) forced to head south for this year’s fashionable fete, which raised a record- breaking $225,000 for the venerable Voices for Children, whose Court Appointed Special Advocates program helps thousands of San Diego foster youth.

Marina Marrelli opened her Mission Hills home, a 1920s Spanish revival designed by William Templeton Johnson, a notable architect of the day. Guests included honorary committee members Genta Luddy and Becca Craig.

Stylist Kristi Brooks teamed up with party maven Janice Dodge to create stylish fashion vignettes throughout the afternoon, inspiring guests to shop in the on-site boutique. And the wine? It was free- flowing as to gear up for the lively auction, which included an insta-cellar package with 26 bottles and a VIP trip to Napa Valley, with behind- the-scenes tastings and tours. To keep life in balance, there was also a wellness weekend at the beloved Baja retreat, Rancho La Puerta. But the item that started the auction up was tickets to the Rolling Stones at Petco Park, with a stay at the newly reminted Manchester Grand Hyatt. -Photos by Lowell Tindell
