Pickleball has become widely popular and is being played all across California. Here are the best places to play pickleball in San Diego.

Come play pickleball at Colina Del Sol Recreation Center and have the choice of choosing between eight courts to play on. Players can sign up to reserve a court online. Make sure to bring your own net!

Coronado Cays Park is a six-acre park with eight pickleball courts. These courts are free for anyone to use and can be reserved in advance.

Come and play pickleball at the Coronado Island Marriott Resort & Spa. Every Monday and Thursday from 8 a.m. to noon, the pickleball courts are open for free play. For guests staying at the resort, the equipment is included and there can be up to four players per pickleball court.

Here, guests can choose to explore and play pickleball on one of the four courts on the hotel's property. A one-time-fee is required for guests to play on the court and that includes all needed equipment.

At Nobel Athletic Fields and Recreation Center, players can choose if they want to play pickleball outside or inside. There are five courts: two are outside and three are inside, allowing players to escape or enjoy the sun.

Pacific Highlands Ranch Recreation Center has eight pickleball courts: two outside and six inside. The courts are free to use, but be sure to bring along a net.

Interested in playing pickleball with some of your friends? Come and reserve a court for $14 an hour at Pacific Beach Tennis Club and practice your skills. PBTC also hosts open play on Thursday mornings from 9:30 a.m. to noon for $8 per person.

Play pickleball at Mission Bay Resort on one of its eight outdoor courts. It's open to the public and rates start at $32 for a two-hour play session for four people.

Members of the club can make a reservation to reserve a pickleball court to practice and play games on. The court can be reserved for singles, doubles, ball machines and even lessons.

At Scripps Ranch Swim & Racquet Club, pickleball players can come and participate in open play Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday nights, as well as Saturday mornings. All levels of play are welcome on the court and there is no sign up needed.

Westfield UTC has three pickleball courts and plenty of offers that can make your day of play extra fun through the summer. If you're new to the game, you can sign up for the free instructional clinic or, for some happy hour fun, attend Courtside at Sunset for music, bites, drinks and, of course, pickleball.
