John Park grew up in a family of tailors, wearing custom suits that garnered admiration while he worked in hotel management after graduating with a master’s in hospitality. He ultimately decided he wanted to help other people obtain garments that fit them properly, embarking on years of apprenticeship and studying under the best tailors before opening his first Zeglio Custom Clothiers (zeglio.com)shop in 2006 in Chicago. He opened a San Diego location in 2017, followed by one in La Jolla in 2018, and now resides locally in San Diego. His passion for craftsmanship and service propels the company’s growth, with eight locations internationally and more in the works.

My favorite part of my job is identifying ways to tailor a garment uniquely to the wearer’s body.
Double- or single-breasted suit? Single, three-piece
Bow tie or traditional necktie? Necktie
If I wear jewelry, it is always my watch.
A man is not fully dressed withouthis shoes and socks.
I am happiest when my clients can’t stop smiling when they first put on their bespoke suit.
Being right is highly overrated.
